APOLOGISE IN TWO DAYS OR FACE FIR: GOA DIGITAL JOURNALISTS TO KHATTAR OVER MEDIA,SAINT FRANCIS XAVIER REMARKS

PANAJI: All Goa Digital Journalists Association (AGDJA) slammed Gautam Khattar and issued a two day ultimatum to him to apologise publicly over the remarks on the Goan media persons stating that they are lacking ethics and cannot maintain decorum.

The president of AGDJA further stated that if he failed to apologise an FIR will be filed against him in the Mapusa  police station as he has insulted all the journalists of Goa.
“We condemned the statement made by him at a function held at Vasco wherein he passed an unacceptable remark on Goa’s  patron Saint St Francis Xavier.
Khattar spoke to media persons after he was released on bail by the court and immediately disappeared from the state within four hours of his release.

He said Khattar was brought here like a VIP and treated him like a VIP without face masks adding whenever any alleged criminal is being brought before the public or even while taking him to court after arrest his face is covered. He said a question arises here whether he was a criminal or not?
He questioned the authorities when he was produced before the court he complained of chest pain for what and got admitted in a hospital for what treatment and while he was in hospital he applied for bail and court released him on bail and left the state within a couple hours. Khattar who made insulting remarks on Goencho Saib recently while speaking at a function in Vasco where Village panchayat minister and MLAs were also present. The remarks were such that it hurt the religious sentiment of the Goans.
