GUJ SLAMS GAUTAM KHATTAR OVER REMARKS ON GOAN JOURNALISTS
Panaji: The Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ) has strongly condemned remarks made by YouTuber Gautam Khattar on the ethics of journalism in Goa.
Speaking to journalists after securing bail in the case pertaining to derogatory comments made against Saint Francis Xavier, Khattar said “Goa’s mediapersons do not have the decorum of journalism. You need to follow the ethics of journalism first”.
When questioned by Goan journalists who were present during the interaction, Khattar evaded responding.
The Goa Union of Journalists strongly condemns such generalised and irresponsible statements from Khattar as they do not reflect the state of journalism in Goa. Khattar’s understanding of Goan journalists and journalism in Goa is limited at best.
Khattar was detained by police from Himachal Pradesh last week and brought to Goa. He has now been released on bail.
