VP Verla-Canca Begins road Infrastructure Overhaul with Road Inspection”
Verla-Canca, April 14: In a proactive push to upgrade local infrastructure, siolim MLA Delialh Lobo along with Sarpanch of Verla canca Nicole Marques and panch members, conducted a detailed inspection of roads across Verla-Canca on Tuesday.
The team covered key stretches including Narayan Dev Colony and Lopes Waddo, interacting with residents to understand pressing concerns such as damaged surfaces, poor drainage, and monsoon-related waterlogging. Speaking after the inspection, Sarpanch Nicole Marques said the panchayat is committed to time-bound redressal of grievances. “We are here to listen, assess, and act. Good roads are not a luxury — they’re basic infrastructure our residents deserve,” she stated.

Officials noted problem areas and will now prepare estimates for repair, resurfacing, and improved drainage to ensure safer, smoother connectivity for locals. Residents welcomed the on-ground presence of elected representatives, calling it a “much-needed step” toward accountability and faster civic response
