: Unidentified Body Recovered From by fire services from Canal in Camurlim Police Probe Underway
Mapusa: April 14: An unidentified body was found floating in a canal near Madgaonkars Wine Store at Teen Mad, Camurlim, around 19:00 hrs on Monday evening, sending a brief wave of shock through the locality.
According to officials, the Mapusa Fire Station team rushed to the spot after receiving an alert and retrieved the body from the water. The deceased was subsequently handed over to Shri S M Khan, LFF, for further formalities. Police have confirmed the name of the deceased as Pratish Jadhav aged 28 years
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death. No visible signs of foul play were immediately apparent, though officials said all angles are being examined. The area was cordoned off briefly as fire personnel and police conducted initial procedures. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
