Caritas Goa has launched Goa’s first sensory garden dedicated to children with disabilities CSR Initiative by Frontline Managed Services.

MARCH 25th 2026. Frontline Managed Services (Intelliteach Offshore Pvt. Ltd.), Porvorim, has made a significant contribution through the launch of Goa’s first sensory garden dedicated to children with disabilities at Caritas Saligao.

His Eminence Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão did the honours of cutting of the ribbon at the entrance of the sensory garden along with Mr. Joshua Silveira, Director – India Operations, Frontline Managed Services, Fr. Maverick Fernandes, Director, Caritas Goa, Fr. Savio Fernandes – Asst. Director of Caritas Goa and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Joshua Silveira, Director – India Operations, Frontline Managed Services, said: “We are proud to partner with Caritas Goa on this meaningful initiative. The sensory garden reflects our shared commitment to building inclusive spaces where every child, regardless of ability, can learn, explore, and thrive. By supporting this project, we hope to contribute towards a more empathetic society that actively enables access, dignity, and opportunity for children with disabilities.’

Fr. Maverick Fernandes, Director, Caritas Goa, noted: “This sensory garden reflects our commitment to dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunity for every child. We believe that children with disabilities deserve spaces where they can freely explore, learn, and express themselves. Through this initiative, we are not only creating a therapeutic environment but also fostering greater awareness and sensitivity within the community towards inclusive development.”

About the sensory garden: This pioneering initiative marks a significant step toward inclusivity, accessibility, and child – cantered development. Designed as a multi-sensory space, the garden enables children to engage through touch, sound, smell, and movement. It is especially inclusive of children with deaf blindness, offering a safe and stimulating environment. Key features include a sound wall that allows children to experience vibrations and auditory feedback.
An interactive activity wall promotes hands-on exploration and engagement. Textured surfaces and specialized flooring enhance tactile stimulation and motor skill development. The garden also features curated plant zones, including edible plants for experiential learning. Fragrant flowers stimulate olfactory senses, while structured greenery offers visual and tactile contrast.
Each element has been thoughtfully designed to create a holistic sensory experience. Beyond infrastructure, the initiative challenges societal perceptions around disability and inclusion.
It reinforces the right of every child to access meaningful, inclusive public spaces. The garden also strengthens outreach to deafblind children by reducing communication barriers. It complements the work of Caritas Deafblind Centres through nature-based therapeutic engagement. This initiative by Caritas Goa sets a benchmark for inclusive development and community-driven change

Frontline Managed Services reiterated its commitment to supporting social impact initiatives across Goa and India through continued CSR engagement.
