Oxford CC of Goa register victory

Panaji: In the Late Rajan Bhai Angane Memorial Under-16 Cricket Tournament, Oxford Cricket Club of Goa thrashed Aim Cricket Academy ‘B’ from Sawantwadi by 131 runs on Thursday.

In the match played at Boarding Ground, Malvan, Oxford Cricket Club piled up a huge total of 234 runs in 34.2 overs after opting to bat first. Adeep Prabhu Miskin scored a brilliant century (102 runs off 62 balls), laying the foundation for the big total. His innings included 12 fours and 5 sixes. He was well supported by captain Tanishq Naik (22).

In reply, Aim Cricket Academy ‘B’, Sawantwadi, were bowled out for just 103 runs in 26.2 overs. Svanik Phadte top-scored with 33 runs, while Nanthan Sawant (18) and Saish Virnodkar (17) offered some resistance.

For Oxford, Abhisek Lamani delivered a brilliant bowling spell, picking up 5 wickets for 29 runs in 7 overs to dismantle the opposition. He was well supported by Barhaan Dash (2 wickets), along with Mubarak Tadapatri and Tanishq Naik (1 wicket each). Abhisek Lamani was awarded Man of the Match for his lethal bowling
