PORVORIM: Porvorim residents are facing acute shortage of domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders since last one week.
The consumers are standing in the long and serpentine queues since morning hours and collecting their quotas booked for delivery /only in the evening. As a result consumers are agitated due to careless attitude of the LPG. The agent has failed to deliver cylinders on time and as such consumers have become panicky.
When contacted their agents for delay in supplies. They were told to collect from godown which is very very far away from their residents.
The consumers men, women, young and old who were running shortage of LPG Cylinders just rush to the godown blindly and stand in lengthy queue to get their share.
The agent comes at his fency time and opens only after a sufficient crowd was collected at the spot and start delivery only at 6 pm. The consumers had to stand for long hours in the burning sun and get their quota only during evening.
