Rajaya sabha MP Sheds Light on Ministry’s Work in Rajya Sabha Debate”

Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sadanand Shet Tanavade participated in the discussion on the working of the Union Ministry of Rural Development in Parliament.

During the discussion, Shri Tanavade highlighted the progress made in rural development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shri Tanavade said that rural India has been placed at the centre of the country’s development vision, with a strong focus on infrastructure, livelihoods, and opportunities for people in villages.

Shri Tanavade noted that allocations for rural development have increased significantly over the past decade, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving the quality of life in rural areas.

In his speech, Shri Tanavade also referred to key initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), which has helped provide housing to rural families, and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, which has improved road connectivity in villages and enabled people to access markets, schools, and healthcare services.

Shri Tanavade further spoke about the SVAMITVA Scheme, which is helping provide clear property ownership through drone-based mapping, and highlighted the role of women’s Self-Help Groups under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihoods Mission in strengthening rural livelihoods.

Shri Tanavade also highlighted financial inclusion initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and the income support provided to farmers through Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.

Shri Tanavade stated that villages across the country are witnessing visible changes through improved connectivity, housing, financial inclusion, and livelihood opportunities. He expressed his support for the discussion on the working of the Ministry of Rural Development.
