PANAJI: The election to Corporation of City of Panaji began on a slow but steady note.
There was no rush as such but the voters were pouring in at the ward-wise booths continuous.
According to reliable sources in the election booths there was 48 per cent voting before the lunch but now there was around 51 per cent voting till around two pm.
Babush Minserratte panel has fielded all 30 candidates in all 30 wards if the city.
While the rivals have also fielded 30 candidates in all 30 wards backed by the son of former Union Defence Minister, Late Manohar Parrikar. Parrikar is being backed by the Congress, AAP, BJP deserters, Mr Surendra Furtado and other prominent citizens of the Panaji City under the banner of Ami Ponjekar
