“Karnataka Man Kills Wife in Goa over Money Row, Surrenders at Police Station”

Saligao:  In a rare incident reported from Mudda wado, Saligao a native of Karnataka allegedly murdered his wife in their rented room with a knife.

Vinod Rathod allegedly slit his wife’s throat Rukmini Rathod (40) and allegedly surrendered to the police in Saligao. As per the sources, the couple had a heated argument/discussion over the cash following which the alleged accused killed her and after murdering his wife, the alleged accused went straight to the police station and surrendered himself to the police. The alleged accused has been detained by the Saligao police immediately.. The Sub Divisional Police Officer, Mr Vishwesh Karpe rushed to the spot of the crime along with the police inspector, Mr Dinesh Gaonkar and PSI, Mr Sarvesh Bhandari and inspected the scene of the crime.  The alleged accused in the Saligao murder case Vinod Rathod has been remanded to seven days police custody by the JMFC. Further investigation is in progress.
