“Calangute Panchayat Cracks Down on Tobacco Sales Near Schools

Calangute, Goa – In a bold move, the Calangute Panchayat has launched a crackdown on tobacco and gutka sales near local schools. Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira and Secretary Arjun Velip led the raid, seizing contraband near Vidya Niketan High School and Little Flower of Jesus High School.

The panchayat has made it clear: selling tobacco products near educational institutions will not be tolerated. “We will continue to take strict action against violators,” Sequeira warned.
