Calangute Goa – In a passionate address, MLA Michael Lobo emphasized the untapped potential of Goa’s agricultural sector, urging the youth to view farming as a viable and proud career choice.

“Farming isn’t just about tilling the soil; it’s about innovation, sustainability, and securing our future,” Lobo said, highlighting the state’s rich produce – from corn to cauliflower, cabbage, and beyond.

Addressing concerns about the sector’s image, Lobo asserted, “The future is green, and it begins right here on our soil. We must empower our youth to see farming as a smart and proud choice, not a last option.”

Lobo’s call to action comes as Goa looks to boost self-reliance and promote healthier lifestyles through fresh, locally-grown produce.

“When we grow our own food, we secure our future – stronger families, better nutrition, and a healthier generation,” he added.
