CM Sawant Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Fire Station at Valpoi
Valpoi: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Wednesday inaugurated a modern fire station at Valpoi, constructed by the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (GSIDC). The event was attended by Health Minister Shri. Vishwajit P RANE, Director of Fire & Emergency Services Shri. Nitin Raikar, and GSIDC Managing Director Shri. Rohit Kadam, among others.
The new fire station is a significant addition to Goa’s emergency response infrastructure, aimed at enhancing fire safety and reducing response times in the region. This development is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen disaster management capabilities and ensure public safety .
The fire station’s modern facilities will enable the Fire & Emergency Services department to respond more effectively to emergencies, including fires, natural disasters, and other life-threatening situations.
The department has been actively working on improving fire safety measures, including conducting awareness programs and training sessions across the state
