Blooming Author – Avril Faleiro.
Even as a little child , who didn’t even start Schooling little Avril had such love for books that she would keep staring at books pretending to be reading. Books of different pictures and colours would fantasize her and she would ask her parents to buy them .
Avril loved Stories and created her own stories . Her story telling sessions were never ending and often had to be interrupted by the listener , to be continued for the next time. When little avril started school, Library became her favourite subject and often she found herself lost in an ocean of books not knowing which to pick. Amongst the toy shops in the market place , was the book shop that she most cherished and unlike many kids one would find Avril busy picking up a collection for herself. A deep desire of being an Author was somewhere taking roots in Little Avrils heart and as life gained momentum this little desire eventually became true and avril became a Published Author of ‘’ A Montley Collection of Marvellous Stories”, a book of Short Stories created under Scholastic Writers Academy.
One day when Avril saw an Advertisement of the Scholastic Academy , her inner Author could not resist and after an assertive request put forward to her parents she got herself registered for the training academy . After clearing the Selection Test , and undergoing a 10 day mentoring programme , Avril penned down her story , ‘Valeri Saves the Seasons’ , which got published on the book , ‘’ A Montley Collection of Marvellous Stories “. Avrils Mentor Ms. Ratna wrote about Avril , ‘ A quiet child ,she might seem, but the glint of mischief in her eyes was unmistakable. Her unique story idea impressed me a lot ‘.
Avrils Parents , School Teachers , Family and Friends congratulated Avril for her remarkable achievement and motivated her to write more. Observing her amazing writing skills , she is yet again chosen for a special training in creating writing by a well known academy and very soon her Own Solo Book will be out soon. She is also working on a novel . Despite being so busy with her academics, she takes time out for her creative writing . Avril believes that Academics is very important in a students life , and no matter how talented we are in other fields, one has to give first priority to their school and studies , as Knowledge is a wealth that one acquires and nobody can steal it from us. Avril aspires to be a successful author and we all wish her success in this Journey.
