Anniversary and Re-consecration Ceremony at Shri Shantadurga Ravalnath Rastroli
Mapusa: The Shri Shantadurga Ravalnath Rastroli Panchaytan Trust, Tambdi Mati–Pirazona, Moira, will organise the 29th anniversary of Shri Ravalnath Deva along with the re-consecration (Panchaytan establishment), and the 7th anniversary of the installation of Shri Shantadurga Devi from January 22 to 27. The celebrations will feature a series of religious rituals and cultural programmes.
The festivities will commence on January 20 with the arrival of the idol of Shri Ravalnath Deva at Bastora Junction, followed by a grand procession from Moira bridge to the temple at 5.00 pm, accompanied by band music and a ceremonial Pancharati welcome by Suhasinis.
Religious rituals will be held daily from January 22 to 26 from 8.00 am onwards, including homas, pujas, murti pratishtha, mahapuja, aartis and distribution of Tirtha Prasad.
Special programmes include a procession of the festival idol on January 24 evening, a public Shri Satyanarayan Mahapuja on Rath Saptami on January 25 followed by the mythological drama Dharmavijay, and the celebration of the 7th anniversary of Shri Shantadurga Devi on January 26, followed by the Konkani play Hander Asa Chado Sodta Saglo Vado.
On January 27, a public Shri Satyanarayan Mahapuja will be held at 5.00 pm, followed by the Konkani comedy play Ayle Angar Ghetle Shingar in the evening.
The Trust has appealed to devotees to participate in large numbers and seek blessings during the religious and cultural programmes.
