Semenyo Sparks Manchester City’s Cup Dream with Stunning Strike
Manchester City moved closer to the English League Cup final, thanks to Antoine Semenyo’s second goal in as many games. The Ghana international scored the opening goal in City’s 2-0 win over Newcastle at St James’ Park, with Rayan Cherki netting the second in added time.
Semenyo, who joined City from Bournemouth for $87 million, has hit the ground running, scoring on his debut against Exeter in the FA Cup. “The whole environment here is perfect,” he said, praising his new teammates for making him feel welcome.
The 26-year-old’s impressive form has delighted City captain Bernardo Silva, who praised his skills and attitude. “He’s not just a very good player, but a very good guy,” Silva said
