Porvorim Man Beaten Up for Objecting to Public Drinking
Porvorim: A 44-year-old Porvorim resident was allegedly assaulted by a group of men, including a Nepali national, near his home on Sunday night. The victim had objected to the group drinking in public near a wine shop. The accused allegedly slapped, punched, and hit him with a stone, causing simple injuries.
Police have identified the accused and arrested one, Suman Thapa (31), a room cleaner at a guest house. Action is underway against the others involved.
