CM Pramod Sawant launches Aqua Goa Fish festival 2026, spotlight on Fisheries & Aquaculture
Panjim: Chief Minister, Dr Pramod sawant inaugurated National Conference 2026 on “ Fisheries & Aquaculture” on the sideline of 9th Edition of Aqua Goa Mega Fish Festival 2026, organized by Directorate of Fisheries, Govt. of Goa at Patto, Panaji.
Minister for Fisheries, Shri. Nilkant Halarnkar, Secretray (Fisheries), Shri. Prasanna Acharya, IAS, Director of Fisheries, Shri. Chandrakant Velip & others were also present.
The event includes workshops, exhibitions, and cultural performances, focusing on climate-resilient technologies and innovation in fisheries.
Fisheries Minister Nilkant Halarnkar emphasized the festival’s aim to create awareness and encourage innovation, while Secretary Prasanna Acharya highlighted the importance of connecting fisheries heritage with scientific students .
