Panaji: In the Women’s Under-15 One-Day Trophy Elite tournament, Goa suffered a 137-run defeat at the hands of Vidarbha on Thursday. Batting first, Vidarbha scored 267 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 35 overs. In reply, Goa managed to score 130 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 35 overs.

For Goa, Joya Meer played a splendid knock, scoring 68 runs off 82 balls with 12 fours to register a half-century. The match was played at the Dr P.V.G. Raju ACA Sports Complex in Vizianagaram. This was Goa’s fourth consecutive defeat. Goa are currently placed sixth and last in the group B`. Goa will play their final match against Punjab on January 10.
