Goa CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Pushes for June Launch of Veterinary College, Eyes Fisheries Revamp”
Panaji: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired a review meeting regarding the Veterinary College at Panaji, with senior officials, including the Secretaries and Heads of concerned departments.
In the meeting discussions focused on the June deadline for commencement of the College, expediting completion of the campus, procurement of equipment, establishment of the veterinary hospital and clinical complex, and creation of teaching and non-teaching posts.
Key issues such as affiliation with Goa University, land availability, and transport connectivity for the proposed Fisheries College were also deliberated upon.
The meeting further reviewed progress and future plans for the Fisheries sector, covering infrastructure requirements, availability of qualified Goans in fisheries, and concrete steps towards establishing a Fisheries College.
