Fire Service Averts Major Tragedy After Dry Grass Catches Fire Near Thivim Industrial Estate
Mapusa: In a span of just 24 minutes, two separate grass fires broke out in North Goa, keeping firefighting teams on their toes. The first incident occurred near Simeshwar Temple in Camurlim’s Maina Pato at 2:39 pm, with Mapusa fire station’s R.A. Gaonkar leading the response.
Barely 24 minutes later, another fire was reported near the canteen at Tivim Industrial Estate at 3:03 pm, with firefighter Vishnu Kesarkar heading the rescue efforts.
Luckily, both incidents seem to have been brought under control swiftly, with no reports of damage to property or life. The fire service teams, led by Shri R.A. Gaonkar and Shri Vishnu Kesarkar, acted promptly to douse the flames and prevent further spread.
