“Goa’s New Year Revellers: A Mix of Luxury and Low-Budget Merriment”
Panaji, December 30, 2025 – As the New Year approaches, Goa’s coastal belt is buzzing with revellers from across the country, seeking to ring in the new year with parties, nightlife, and vibrant events. While some tourists splurge on luxury accommodations and rentals, others opt for a more budget-friendly approach, cooking their own meals on the streets and sleeping on pavements or gardens.

Many tourists, especially youngsters, are seen enjoying the festive atmosphere, often under the influence of drinks and substances, raising concerns about road safety and accidents. Despite this, the spirit of revelry remains unbridled, with tourists indulging in local street food like vada pav, mirch pav, and bhaji pav.
Interestingly, some low-budget tourists come prepared with their own gas cylinders, raw ingredients, and cooking gear, turning the streets into makeshift campsites. As the festivities continue, authorities are keeping a watchful eye on the situation, balancing the need for safety with the desire to let tourists enjoy the state’s hospitality.
The festivities are expected to peak tonight, with many events and parties lined up across Goa’s coastal belt.
