Chief Minister Dr Pramod sawant chaired the 40th Meeting of the Goa Investment Promotion & Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB), in the presence of the Industries Minister Mauvin Godhino, GIDC Chairman Shri Reginaldo Lourenco Chief Secretary, Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, senior officials and industry representatives.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐬:
• Approved 10 new projects with a total investment of ₹217.25 crore, generating 941 jobs across sectors such as aviation & adventure tourism, food processing, automobile & mobility, packaging, tourism & hospitality, logistics, electronics and toys manufacturing.
• The Board also reviewed large investment proposals seeking incentives under the Goa Industrial Growth & Investment Promotion Policy, 2022:
– Vedanta Ltd.: ₹722 crore DI Pipe manufacturing project, 585 jobs
– 3B Advanced Composites Pvt. Ltd.: ₹1500 crore expansion in glass fibre manufacturing, 1,000 jobs
– Siemens Ltd.: ₹363 crore medium voltage switchgear unit at Verna, 182 jobs.
