“Chimbel Flyover Chaos: Car Plumes into Construction Pit, Driver Miraculously Escapes”

“Panaji: The driver of a private vehicle escaped with minor injuries in a freak and unusual road accident near Chimbel fly-over this morning. The vehicle owner drove straight into and fell into an under-construction Chimbel fly-over pit along with his four-wheeler.

However, the driver was inside the vehicle when it allegedly plunged into the pit after skidding off the road. The driver was struck inside the vehicle but was removed safely by a team comprising Goa Fire Service personnel, ambulance attendants, and police personnel. He was immediately taken to Goa Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Onlookers stated that the driver was sleepy. They also blamed the PWD for the road geometry.
