“Goa’s Weaving Revival: CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Distributes 35 Automatic Spinning Charkhas to Handloom Weavers”
In a bid to boost the state’s handloom sector, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant distributed 35 Automatic Spinning Charkhas to handloom weavers at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali. The event, organized by the Department of Handicrafts, Textile & Coir, aims to empower weavers and promote traditional crafts.
The distribution ceremony was attended by Mayem MLA Shri. Premendra Shet, Director of Handicrafts, Textile & Coir Shri. Sagun Velip, and other dignitaries. This initiative is expected to enhance the productivity and income of handloom weavers, preserving Goa’s rich textile heritage ¹.
