“Amit Palekar Challenges Sudin Dhavalikar to Narco Test, Accuses BJP of Misusing Shrines”
Panaji: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa president Amit Palekar has thrown a gauntlet at Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar, challenging him to undergo a narco test alongside alleged Cash-For-Job Scam accused Pooja Naik to prove his innocence. Palekar’s bold move comes after Dhavalikar’s supporters gathered at Katamgal Dada and Navdurga temple, seeking divine punishment for those exposing the scam.
Palekar slammed the minister, accusing BJP leaders of disrespecting Goan deities for political gains. “A real innocent person would swear upon GOD with their entire family. Let Sudin Dhavalikar do that if he has nothing to hide,” Palekar said, emphasizing that using temples for political purposes insults Goan faith and beliefs ¹.
The controversy surrounds Pooja Naik, who has accused Dhavalikar, IAS officer Nikhil Desai, and PWD engineer Uttam Parsekar of involvement in the cash-for-jobs scam. Desai has filed a Rs 17-crore defamation notice against Naik, while she has offered to take a narco test to prove her claims.
The incident has sparked widespread debate, with many calling for a CBI investigation into the alleged scam. As the drama unfolds, Palekar’s challenge has added a new twist, putting Dhavalikar on the spot ² ³.
