MAPUSA FIRE SERVICE TO THE RESCUE: Dual Blazes Foiled in Arpora and Mapusa

Mapusa: In a remarkable display of fire-fighting prowess, the Mapusa Fire Service responded to two separate fires in the early hours of Sunday preventing major disasters in Arpora and Mapusa.

A garbage dump near Las Vegas supermarket in Arpora was engulfed in flames at 02:55 hrs, but thanks to the swift response of Firefighter Shri Ranjit Gaonkar and his team, the fire was brought under control, preventing any damage to nearby structures.

Hours later, a vehicle was gutted near the Housing Board Slope in Mapusa, but Firefighter Shri Vishnu Gawas and his team were quick to respond, preventing the blaze from spreading.

The dual incidents have raised concerns about fire safety in the area, with authorities urging citizens to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

The Mapusa Fire Station has assured that both fires are under control and that investigations are underway to determine the causes of the blazes.
