“Mhaje Ghar Yojana: Goa CM Pramod Sawant Distributes Forms, Pledges Housing Security calangute villagers
Calangute, Goa: In a significant move to provide housing security to thousands of Goan families, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant handed over Mhaje Ghar Yojana forms to beneficiaries at the Calangute Association Hall on Monday. The event was attended by Deputy Collector, Sarpanchas, Panch Members, and local residents, who witnessed the CM’s commitment to making housing a fundamental right for all Goans.
The Mhaje Ghar Yojana, launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah earlier this month, aims to grant ownership rights to residents living on government and community lands. The scheme is expected to benefit nearly 50% of Goa’s population, with over 50,000 houses set to be regularized in the coming days.
“Our government is dedicated to ensuring that every Goan family has a home to call their own,” said CM Sawant. “The Mhaje Ghar Yojana is a landmark initiative that will provide housing security and stability to thousands of families.”
“The Mhaje Ghar Yojana is part of the Goa government’s broader efforts to promote affordable housing and land rights. The initiative is expected to boost the state’s economy and improve the quality of life for Goan residents’ said Calangute MLA Michael Lobo
The scheme has received an overwhelming response, with many residents expressing gratitude for the government’s efforts.
