Actor Gaurav Bakshi Booked for Trespassing, Threatening Family Over Property Dispute

Old Goa, November 5: The Old Goa Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against actor Gaurav Bakshi and an unidentified woman for allegedly trespassing into a house at Caraim, Chodan, and threatening a family over a property dispute.

The complaint, filed by Shyam Bhomkar (53), alleged that on November 2 at 9:30 a.m., Bakshi and the woman entered his residence without permission, issued threats, and verbally abused family members, leading to a breach of peace. The dispute reportedly stems from a land issue and a social media video connected to the property.

Police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for criminal trespass, intimidation, and provocation to breach peace. The case is being investigated by LPSI Jasvita Naik of the Old Goa Police Station.

Reacting to the FIR, Gaurav Bakshi dismissed the case as a “humongous waste of time,” claiming he hasn’t received any official communication from police. “The mundkar who filed the complaint lives on an adjoining property and has his own owner – he should file a complaint against them, not me,” Bakshi said, denying any wrongdoing.

Bakshi described the complainant as “just an irate neighbour” and alleged that the case is a result of political vendetta, citing a fake video spread by BJP’s IT cell last month. He has already filed a cyber complaint regarding the incident.
