Goa Hosts the World’s Best: FIDE World Cup 2025 Opens with a Bang”

Taleigao: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the opening ceremony of FIDE World Cup Goa 2025 organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt. of Goa and The Sports Authority of Goa, at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Taleigao.

Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya,  Sports Minister, Shri Ramesh Tawadkar,  President, FIDE,  Shri. Arkady Dvorkovich,  Chief Secretary,  Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS,  Rajya Sabha MP,  Shri. Sadanand Shet Tanavade, MLA, Shri Nilesh Cabral, President, AICF,  Shri. Nitin Narang,  Secretary, Sports,  Shri. Santosh Sukhadev, IAS,  Director, Sports, Dr. Ajay Gaude and others graced the opening ceremony.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and other dignitaries, unveiled the trophy for the FIDE World Cup 2025.
