“Former Navprabha Editor Suresh Walve Passed Away After Brief Illness”
He hailed from Vhalshi in Bicholim and was 86 years old. Navprabha was a sister newspaper of The Navhind Times, simultaneously published from Panaji city after Liberation by the Goan industrialist and philanthropist, Mr. Dempo. He started as a sub-editor and rose to the post of editor, working under many editors, including Laxmikant Borkar and Mr. Mr Kokje. He was fit and fine until a couple of weeks ago, but recently he had a paralytic stroke and was admitted to a hospital, undergoing treatment, before passing away.”He survived by his wife and a daughter. His last rites were performed at the hindu crematorium .
