CM Launches AI Conclave to Build a Future Ready Economy
Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the two-day Goa AI Tech Conclave 2026 at the INOX Courtyard, Panaji, Goa. The conclave is organised by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Government of Goa, through the Startup & IT Promotion Cell (SITPC).
The conclave focuses on strengthening the State’s AI ecosystem and promoting innovation to contribute towards an inclusive and future-ready digital economy.
On the occasion, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BITS Pilani – K. K. Birla Goa Campus to further strengthen Goa’s startup and AI ecosystem.
The inaugural programme was graced by Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Rohan Khaunte; Bicholim MLA and Chairman of Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited, Dr. Chandrakant Shetye; Mayem MLA, Premendra Vishnu Shet; Secretary for Information Technology, Shri Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS; Director, Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, i Kabir Shirgaonkar; Managing Director, Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited, Shri Praveen Volvotkar; Chief Executive Officer, Startup & IT Promotion Cell, Shri D. S. Prashant; and other dignitaries.
