*Where Bhakti Met Books: Navratri Utsav at Indiranagar Honours Young Achievers*
MLA Joshua DeSouza Joins Krishna Poojan and Student Felicitation at Sai Baba Temple*
*MAPUSA:* The Sai Shraddha Kala Ani Sanskrutik Mandal turned its annual Navratri Utsav into a celebration of both faith and education this year, as it hosted Krishna Poojan and a special felicitation ceremony at the Sai Baba Temple, Indiranagar.

The event, held as part of Navratri Utsav 2026, drew a large gathering of devotees, students, parents and local residents. The evening began with traditional Krishna Poojan, followed by cultural performances organised by the Mandal.
In a highlight of the programme, meritorious students and other achievers from the area were felicitated on stage for their academic and extracurricular accomplishments. The gesture was aimed at encouraging youngsters to continue striving for excellence and pursuing their goals.
Attending the celebration, Mapusa MLA Joshua DeSouza praised the initiative and said recognising the hard work of students is one of the best ways to motivate them. He noted that when devotion is combined with recognition of talent, it creates an environment where both culture and education flourish together.
Organisers said the idea behind combining the poojan with the felicitation was to inspire the younger generation to balance spiritual values with academic discipline during the festive season.
The programme concluded with blessings for all students and a community gathering, making this year’s Navratri Utsav at Indiranagar stand out as much for its honours as for its devotion.
