Mapusa to Get Bardez Bhavan; MLA Joshua D’Souza Inspects Site for Integrated Admin Centre
Mapusa, 8th Oct: A major step towards administrative convenience for the people of Bardez, Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza on Thursday inspected the old Mapusa Urban Co-operative Bank premises as part of the proposed planning for the ambitious Bardez Bhavan project.The adjoining premises are also being examined, with the aim of developing an integrated administrative centre that will house various government departments and public amenities under one roof.
The focus for Bardez Bhavan is on creating a comprehensive public facility that brings essential services together, making them more accessible and convenient for people across the constituencies of Bardez taluka. Present during the inspection were MMC Chief Officer Kaushik Dessai, MMC Administrator Chandrakant Shetkar, ME-II Vishant Naik, Under Secretary, General Administration Shri. Shreyas D’Silva and Deputy Collector & SDO-I, Bardez . Anant Malik. Officials discussed the feasibility, space utilization and integration of services to ensure the proposed Bardez Bhavan becomes a true citizen-centric hub for the taluka.
