Through Gritli’s Lens, Goa Revisits Its Past – Commemorative Exhibition Celebrates Legacy of Prof. Mitterwallner in Panaji
PANAJI: A one-day Special Commemorative Programme and Photo Exhibition on “Goa Then through Gritli’s Lens and Goa Now” was organized by the Vivekanand Puratatva Abhyas Mandal in collaboration with the Goa State Museum to commemorate the scholarly and visual legacy of Prof. Dr. Gritli Mitterwallner on the occasion of her birth anniversary.
The programme was held at the Art and Culture Hall & Art Gallery, Patto, Panaji.Prof. Dr. Prachi Moghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Vasu Usapkar, Director of Museums, along with other dignitaries, historians and art enthusiasts were present.


The photo exhibition showcased rare photographs capturing Goa’s heritage and cultural transformation, offering a visual comparison of Goa through Prof. Mitterwallner’s lens and its present-day landscape. The initiative was lauded for reviving interest in Goa’s rich historical and archaeological legacy.
