Goa Dominates with First-Innings Lead in Drawn Tie vs Assam in J.Y. Lele U-16 cricket tournament
Panaji: The two-day match between Goa and Assam in the All India Late J.Y. Lele Invitational Under-16 Cricket Tournament ended in an expected draw, with Goa securing a first-innings lead after bowling out Assam for 198 in 70.4 overs at the Reliance Cricket Stadium in Vadodara.
Goa had posted 232 runs in their first innings, and their bowlers delivered an impressive performance to restrict Assam. Samarth Dhulapkar was the standout performer, claiming five wickets for 38 runs. Shaunak Naik and Shaurya Chodankar picked up two wickets each, while Mrunal Naik claimed one.


Assam’s Reyan Nandey (62) and Swarnav Guru (56) steadied the innings with a 72-run partnership for the fourth wicket. However, after reaching 151 for three, Assam suffered a dramatic collapse, losing their remaining seven wickets for just 47 runs to finish at 198.
