650 m³ OHR AT ALTO PILERNE SET TO BOOST WATER SUPPLY IN PILERNE-MARRA & SANGOLDA: KEDAR NAIK
Saligao: Saligao MLA Kedar Naik on Wednesday inspected the ongoing construction work of the new 650 cubic metre Overhead Reservoir (OHR) at Alto Pilerne and said the vital project is nearing completion .Naik, accompanied by officials of the PWD Water Supply Department and members of the Pilerne-Marra Panchayat, took stock of the final phase of the construction.
Speaking on the occasion, Naik said the new OHR will significantly strengthen the water distribution network for the villages of Pilerne-Marra and Sangolda.”Once commissioned, this reservoir will ensure improved water pressure, a more consistent and equitable supply to all wards, and will create adequate capacity to meet the future drinking water demand of the fast-growing Pilerne-Sangolda belt,” Naik said.
He added that strengthening essential public infrastructure remains a top priority for the constituency. “We are committed to delivering better civic amenities and ensuring that every household gets regular water supply,” he stated. The project has been a long-pending demand of the residents of Alto Pilerne, Marra and Sangolda who have been facing low pressure issues.
