O’ Coqueiro Junction Reviewed; Historic ‘Gullo’ Monument to be Relocated to Preserve Porvorim Heritage
PORVORIM – A review of O’ Coqueiro Junction was recently conducted along with government officials to ensure preservation of Porvorim’s heritage. As part of the plan, the historic ‘Gullo’ monument will be relocated to a more prominent place so that future generations remain acquainted with the historical landmarks of Porvorim.
Speaking on the occasion, Porvorim MLA and Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said, “Our heritage is our identity. While we take up development works at O’ Coqueiro junction, we must ensure that historic landmarks like the ‘Gullo’ are preserved and showcased at a prominent location, so that our future generations are acquainted with Porvorim’s rich history.”
