Traffic Bottleneck at Calangute’s Avenue Hotel Road Due to Pipeline Shifting
CALANGUTE: Commuters moving through Avenue Hotel junction, Calangute are facing slow movement of traffic after the work of shifting 200 mm and 90 mm water pipelines has commenced .
The work is being executed by M/s I.G. Ambikar in coordination with GSIDC, Village Panchayat Calangute and PWD. Heavy machinery and excavation work along the roadside has led to narrowing of the carriageway, causing temporary traffic congestion, especially during peak hours. The Village Panchayat Calangute has requested motorists and residents to cooperate and use alternate routes wherever possible. The work is expected to be completed on priority to restore normal traffic flow.
