Goa 7 for 281 as Bhujbhal hits century
Panaji: Goa reached 281 for seven in 90 overs against KSCA President’s XI on the opening day of their four-day Dr. (Capt.) K. Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket Tournament match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
Goa, after winning the toss, elected to bat first and was led by wicketkeeper-batter Shivendra Bhujbhal’s 106 off 212 balls. He struck 11 fours and a six. Left-handed opener Manthan Khutkar fell eight runs short of a century, making 92 off 182 balls, with 11 fours and a six.
Bhujbhal and Khutkar added 137 runs for the second wicket. At stumps, Yash Kasvankar was unbeaten on four, and Amulya Pandrekar was yet to score. Mohsin Khan was the pick of the KSCA President’s XI bowlers, taking two for 46.
