Goa Police Marked President’s Colour Honour with ‘Ride of Pride’ Rally on saturday
Panaji, August 29, 2026: Marking a significant milestone for Goa Police, the “Ride of Pride” Rally was flagged off on August 29, 2026, at 12:00 noon from the Police Headquarters Ground, Panaji. The programme commemorated the President’s Colour honour conferred on Goa Police, recognising the force’s distinguished service and commitment to the people of Goa.The flag-off ceremony featured a range of presentations by Goa Police, including a Dog Show by the Goa Police Dog Unit, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) demonstration, Anti-Terrorist Squad mock drill, Martial Arts Demonstration and a performance by the Goa Police Band Section.
The occasion also featured the launch of the Goa Police colour theme song, adding a special highlight to the programme.The President’s Colour is a significant recognition conferred on a police force for distinguished service, and the honour for Goa Police reflects its contribution to serving the people of the State.
Following the flag-off, the “Ride of Pride” Rally passed through Porvorim, Calangute, Anjuna and Mapusa before culminating at Pernem, taking the message of this special milestone across the State.The programme was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, as the Chief Guest, in the distinguished presence of DGP Goa and IGP Goa, along with senior police officers, personnel and members of various Goa Police units.
