Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts Celebrates Independence Day with Cultural Festivities

Panaji, August 2026: The spirit of patriotism and camaraderie came alive at the Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts (KCCA) as students of the institute came together to celebrate Independence Day with a vibrant campus event.

The celebrations brought together students and faculty for a day of cultural performances, bonding and shared pride. A special highlight was the badging ceremony for the newly elected Student Councils for the academic year 2026–27, marking the beginning of their leadership journey and recognising their role in representing the student community.

The event also featured a lively cultural programme, with students showcasing their talent through performances that added to the festive atmosphere. The celebrations concluded with a special lunch prepared collaboratively by students and faculty, bringing the day to a warm and convivial close.

Speaking on the occasion, Subhasis Mandal, Principal, Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts, said, “Independence Day is an opportunity for us to celebrate not only our nation, but also the values of unity, responsibility and leadership. It was wonderful to see our students come together, take on new leadership roles and celebrate the occasion with such enthusiasm. These shared experiences are an important part of creating a vibrant learning community.”

The celebration reflected the institutions’ emphasis on creating an engaging campus environment where students can develop leadership, teamwork and cultural awareness alongside their academic and professional training.
