Say No to Drugs, Yes to Nation Building: Shripad Naik to Goan Youth
Panaji: , Goa: Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, today called upon the youth to lead the nation’s fight against drug abuse, stating that a drug-free generation is essential for a Viksit Bharat.The Minister was speaking after inaugurating the three-day ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ Sankalp Abhiyan Multimedia Exhibition, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Goa, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of DCT’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College (Autonomous), at Cujira.
Highlighting the ill-effects of drug addiction, Shri Naik said that substance abuse not only destroys an individual but also weakens families and society. He urged students to take a pledge to stay away from drugs and to spread awareness among peers and in their communities.“
the Minister also appreciated the efforts of the Central Bureau of Communication and Dempo College for organizing the exhibition, which showcases the government’s initiatives against drug abuse through impactful photos, posters and multimedia content.
