Chief Secretary Administers Sadbhavana Pledge on Rajiv Gandhi’s Birth Anniversary
PORVORIM: Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary at the Secretariat, Porvorim on Wednesday. Dr. Candavelou garlanded the portrait of Late Rajiv Gandhi and administered the Sadbhavana Pledge to Secretaries to the Government, senior government officials, and staff members. Sadbhavana Diwas is observed across the country on August 20 every year to mark the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi. The pledge emphasizes promoting national integration, communal harmony, and peace among all sections of society.


Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary recalled Late Rajiv Gandhi’s vision of a modern, technologically advanced, and united India.
