650g Suspected Ganja, 3 Phones Recovered In Colvale Jail Case
Mapusa : officials have recovered 650 grams of suspected ganja, three mobile phones, three ATM cards, a PAN card and an election card from the locker of a GHRDC woman staffer in connection with a seizure at Colvale Central Jail.
According to officials, the staffer, an employee of the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC), was intercepted by IRB personnel at the jail entrance while reporting for duty. During security checking, suspected ganja was allegedly found inside a thermos. The thermos, including its contents, reportedly weighed around 650 grams in total. Further searches led to the recovery of three mobile phones, three ATM cards, a PAN card and an election card from the staffer’s locker inside the jail premises. Officials said the woman allegedly fled from the spot while inquiries were underway. Police have seized the items and initiated an investigation. Further details are awaited.
