“Mapusa Fire Service Removes Tree From Live Wires Near Religious Structure”

Mapusa: The Mapusa Fire and Emergency Services acted swiftly on Tuesday  morning to avert a potential power outage and safety hazard after a tree fell on overhead electrical wires near St. Elizabeth Church, Luds Vado, amid gusty pre-monsoon winds. The incident was reported at 10:21 HRS. A team from Mapusa Fire Station led by Sri Prakash Kannaik, Sub Officer, rushed to the spot.No injuries were reported  The area was cordoned off during the operation to ensure public safety. Fire service officials have advised residents to report such incidents immediately and urged for trimming of trees near power lines during the  monsoon season.
