Governor Raju Seeks Blessings at Our Lady of the Cape Feast, Joins Devotees in Prayer at Lok Bhavan
DONA PAULA: Marking an occasion of deep faith, Goa Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju along with his spouse attended the Feast Mass of Our Lady of the Cape at the Lok Bhavan Chapel here on Saturday.
The chapel, dedicated to Mae dos Milagres — Our Lady of Miracles — was filled with devotees who gathered from across Goa to seek the intercession and blessings of the Mother. The holy mass was celebrated with hymns, prayers, and traditional fervour, creating an atmosphere of devotion and reverence.
Addressing the faithful after the service, the Governor offered prayers for peace, health and prosperity of the people of Goa. He described the feast as a symbol of Goa’s deep-rooted faith, spiritual heritage and unity in diversity.
“On this sacred day, we pray to Our Lady of the Cape to shower her blessings on every Goan household and to guide us on the path of compassion and harmony,” the Governor said.
Senior officials of Raj Bhavan, members of the clergy and a large congregation of devotees participated in the celebrations.
The Feast of Our Lady of the Cape is celebrated with great devotion across Goa and is revered as one of the most significant Marian feasts in the state.
