Day of Smiles & Learning: Special Activities Held for Children at Anand Niketan, Mapusa
Mapusa, August 14, 2026 — It was a day of smiles, learning and inclusion as engaging activities were conducted for special children at Anand Niketan School, Khorlim, Mapusa. the event was organized as part of a beautiful initiative supported by the Government of Goa – Directorate of Social Welfare, in collaboration with The Green Cross Wildlife Goa.
The programme aimed to create moments of joy, confidence and learning for the students through interactive sessions designed to encourage participation, creativity and self-expression. Officials and volunteers said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive education and welfare of children with special needs, ensuring every child gets the opportunity to learn, grow and shine.“The focus was on building confidence and happiness while making learning fun. Every child deserves to feel included and valued,” a coordinator from The Green Cross Wildlife Goa shared during the programme.
