CM Sawant Leads State Tribute to Bhausaheb Bandodkar at Porvorim
Porvorim: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Wednesday paid tribute to Goa’s first Chief Minister, Late Dr. Dayanand B. “Bhausaheb” Bandodkar, on his Punyatithi by garlanding his statue at Porvorim.


He was accompanied by Minister for Power Shri Ramkrishna alias Sudin Dhavalikar, Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, and other dignitaries who also offered floral tributes at the memorial.Remembering Bandodkar as the “architect of modern Goa”, Dr. Sawant said his “visionary leadership and commitment to social upliftment laid the foundation for Goa’s progress.”The Chief Minister highlighted Bandodkar’s defining contributions —that ensured priority for Goans in government jobs, and his resolute leadershipBhausaheb’s ideals of an inclusive, self-reliant Goa continue to inspire our government. His dedication to the welfare of the common man remains our guiding principle,” Dr. Sawant stated.Minister Dhavalikar also paid homage, recalling Bandodkar’s role in shaping Goa’s administrative and social framework.
