Man dupes three of Rs 64 lakh with promise of cheap MHADA flat, shop
MUMBAI: (Aug 11) Three people were allegedly duped of more than Rs 64 lakh by a man who promised to procure an MHADA flat and a shop at a concessional rate in the city, police said on Tuesday.
Based on a complaint lodged by one of the victims, an employee of the University of Mumbai, the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) police registered a case against Survansingh Toofan Singh Patiyal alias Bunty, an official said.
The complainant and two of his friends were duped of Rs 64.18 lakh between 2013 and 2025 with the promise of procuring them a flat and a shop at a concessional rate in the Kurla area, he said.
